The management of the movements of vehicles on our roads 24 hours a day, seven days a week can be a stressful department, especially with the large amount of variables that can be encountered in the truck rental & transport industry in South Africa. This is where our experience and organisation truly shines through, be it seasonal demands or unfavourable weather conditions, we up are to the challenge of sticking to promised delivery schedules. As the company has grown and the technology has come available we have progressed from manual invoicing and documentation to full digital capturing of all our data.

Spartan Truck Hire & Logistics uses information it collects daily to forecast vehicle replacement and at all times maintains an optimum fleet age. Figure analysis and experience results in the proactive decisions being made so we can give clients the right truck for the job at all times. All of our trucks are equipped with tracking devices and all our drivers are in constant contact with Operations via cell phones wherever they go. Our logistics infrastructure ensure that all our trucks get to where they are meant to go on time and as efficiently as possible. So meticulous are we that costs are measured right down to Cents per Kilometre (CPK) for each vehicle.

In fact we even have one member of our team that deals full time with the processing of traffic fines (which tend to sometimes arrive after one of our trucks is rented out without a Spartan driver).

Every day is different in Operations and our team thrives on just that. Of course, road incidents such as breakdowns and accidents do occur, but Spartan Operations are in direct contact with customers to keep them up-to-date with the status of their shipment. The trust that we have with our clients gives them peace of mind that we know how to handle any situation that may arise, and the huge investment we put into maintaining our trucks at our workshops and depots ensures the minimal amount of vehicle downtime possible.
